PLEASE CROSSPOST FOR THESE TWO KITTENS! FROM THE EMAILS BELOW, IT APPEARS THAT THEIR PROBLEMS MAY IMPROVE WITH AGE! LET’S FIND HOMES FOR THEM BOTH FOR CHRISTMAS! IF YOU CAN HELP, CONTACT:
Kaylene at 706 675 3570 if you can help. Keep calling back, they only have one line on their phone right now and can’t hear the other call coming in.
These two little kittens are in Franklin, GA about 45 minutes from Atlanta.
Pat:
Hi! Have you seen these two little guys? I seriously doubt rear legs are broken. Suspect they were born with rear leg deformities. Is this shelter near you? Would you crosspost them thru your GA s/needs rescue network?
Lee - would you post these sweeties on HPBB if someone hasn’t already. They are too cute – a little black one and a ‘blackie-white’.
Thank you ladies!!! /mari

I am in california but the kittys may have been born this way. I have seen quite a few cases where they were born with this defect, I guess it is a spinal deformity. If this is the case, they are ok and with groth walk better but just very odd gate!!!! My friend rescued a kitty like this and he has develped and gets around just grand and he is 6 mths. old now. Hope somebody can help!

PERMISSION TO CROSSPOST WIDELY
Marilou McGovern in Macon, GA is 78 years old, lives in a trailer and has been caring for abandoned and feral cats in the trailer park. Most of the cats are tame, but unsterilized. There are approximately 20 total cats : 5- 3 month old kittens, a few 4-5 month old kittens/teenagers, and the others are adults.
Her landlord will evict her in 30 days if she doesn’t “get rid of the cats”. The landlord is going to call Animal Control very soon. She can keep a few, but not 20 cats.
She does not have email.

Chihuahua [Mix]
Small Baby Female Dog Pet ID: 10/22-5224~5225
More About Liam&Lilly
Liam and Lilly are totally adorable brother and sister litter mates that appear to be some sort of Chihuahua mixes. They are very dependent on one another, shy, scared, and sweeter than tea in Georgia ! The babies are getting a late start on Petfinder since they had names on them and we felt certain the people would come back for their adoption holds but after waiting 4 days we give up. The babies are now in dire need of a loving home. Liam and Lilly are in a puppy pen in our lobby since the kennel is so scary. Please hurry and save them, we cannot hold them up front very long. Not on My Watch: A Cry for Help at Henry County, GA
Sun, 2009-10-18 14:59 — Robin Olson
From Betsy at Henry Co., GA.
The kittens are adorable and perfect! Very curious fat little butterballs. 3 Torties and 2 black tabbies. (note by robin: Mom is also friendly)
I am not going to write some sappy story, here is the bottom line. The kittens that make it to weaning without getting sick might get a chance to go up for adoption in the kitten room and mom will be put down. The sad reality of what our community forces the shelter to deal with. Overpopulation plain and simple.
Every life in here deserves a chance. Every life is precious and a creation of something greater than us. Please exhaust all resources and see if you can come up with something for this family. I know Mommy wants to be loved, she is just needs to learn its safe to trust.
If you choose to send this post to out of state contacts please be prepared to use your local license to pull the family and help your out of state contact arrange transport.
